Gemini has potential, but right now it’s unreliable where it matters most. It tends to take weak assumptions and present them as likely facts, which shows poor reasoning and makes it hard to trust. Its answers can be inconsistent depending on how you ask the question, and it often sounds confident even when it’s guessing. When challenged, it doesn’t correct itself properly, which makes things worse. It’s fine for quick, basic questions, but for anything that needs solid logic or real world judgment, it falls short. Overall, it feels like it guesses too much and thinks too little

I have been using Gemini for over 2 years for work, studying and research as I supposed it was better than OpenAI. However the last update made it so much worse. I kept getting same issues and I had to correct it way to many times, simple mistakes that it didn’t follow my guidelines or ignored my requests or generated something random or gave wrong facts. Sadly it all happened with new “Flash Update”, it was much better before and I had close to 0 mistakes. Now I’m moving to Anthropic.

I really like Google and most of its products but Gemini compared to the other eyes false short of my expectations even though I still use it because it hallucinates regularly. The other thing I don’t like is that it’s very creative even though I have set the parameters to be very professional and very specific.
