Stuff is built to help you organize your life and achieve your goals. Your Stuff can be as simple as a list of to-dos, or as complex as a system of interconnected lists, organized into spaces full of dependencies, deadlines, and carefully planned tasks. Stuff is designed to keep track of the dozens of to-dos that come to mind throughout the day, helping to clear your mind and turn thoughts into action.
Dependencies: A Simple Yet Powerful System
One of Stuff’s most unique and powerful features is Dependencies. Unlike other to-do apps, where tasks pile up into overwhelming lists, Stuff lets you link tasks together so that future steps stay out of sight until they’re relevant. This means that doers can brain-dump everything into Stuff without worrying about clutter, only the next actionable steps will be visible. Whether you’re planning a project, setting up routines, or just organizing weekend errands, Dependencies help keep Stuff clean, focused, and effortlessly powerful.
Shared Lists: Collaborate Seamlessly
Some tasks aren’t meant to be tackled alone. With Shared Lists, you can collaborate with teammates, classmates, family members, or anyone who needs to be in the loop. Assign tasks, track progress, and keep everyone on the same page, all within Stuff’s clean and intuitive interface.
The Adventure Log: See Your Progress Over Time
Every completed task tells a story, and with the Adventure Log, you can look back at everything you’ve accomplished. Filter by tag, space, or item type to see exactly what was done and when. Whether tracking work projects, study sessions, or personal growth, the Adventure Log helps you reflect on progress and stay motivated.
The Today Card: Stay Focused, No Matter Where You Are
Your most important tasks should always be front and center. The Today Card gives doers a snapshot of the day’s top priorities, no matter where they are in the app. With a quick tap, you can check your highest-priority tasks, see how much is left to do, and even glance at your Daily Note. Even if you’re bouncing between lists and organizing your week, the Today Card ensures that what matters most stays in view.
Plan Ahead or Save for Later
Sometimes, tasks don’t need to be done today, but they still matter. Stuff makes planning easy with Someday Tasks, allowing doers to set things aside without forgetting them. Assign a Deadline to separate when you plan to do something from when it has to be done. And for routine actions, repeating tasks keep everything on track automatically.
Widgets: To-Dos at a Glance
Stay on top of your tasks without even opening the app. Home screen widgets let doers see their lists instantly, making it easy to check off tasks, review deadlines, and stay on track throughout the day.
Designed to Stay Open All Day
Stuff is built to fit into your life, not disrupt it. Whether open on your desk while working or quickly pulled from your pocket while on the go, Stuff adapts to the way you work. The interface is designed to be both visually appealing and highly functional, keeping to-dos top of mind without being distracting.
Built for Doers, Growing for the Future
This is just the beginning! Stuff will continue to grow, with exciting new features on the roadmap designed to make productivity even more intuitive, effective, and enjoyable.
Meet the Developer
Stuff was built by me, Austin, an indie developer and a one-person team. I’ve always been passionate about productivity, but after trying countless apps, I couldn’t find one that truly fit my needs. I wanted something that combined a simple, beautiful interface with powerful features like Dependencies and repeating lists. So, I taught myself to code and started building Stuff, the to-do list of my dreams.

I’ve been using Stuff for weeks now, and despite what some reviews say about it being a “knock-off”, I think the developer actually gets what made Things 3 great while adding features we’ve been asking for. The design is gorgeous, and the interface feels immediately familiar, which made switching over painless. What really sets Stuff apart is the dependency feature, this is something Things 3 has never had, and it’s game changer for managing complex projects. Plus, having due dates for headings? Brilliant. The app is simple to use an aesthetically pleasing, which matters when you’re opening it multiple times a day. That’s said, there are a few bugs here and there that need ironing out, and I’m hoping feature updates will add location based reminders in the ability to attach photos and file. These would really round out the feature set. Overall, if you’ve been looking for a Things 3-style app that actually moves a needle forward on functionality, stuff is worth checking out. The developer clearly understands task management and good design.

Thank you for the awesome review! I really appreciate you taking time to write this up!Great news includes that more features on Dependencies are on the roadmap, making them even more powerful. It’s great to hear that you’re loving that feature so far.On the same note, a lot of work is currently being done on resolving blips and making your experience in Stuff smoother with each update. Same thing on your requested features - also things that I’m looking forward to making available. Thanks again - I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
Spectacular!

This app does everything I need and I just love it! For years no To-Do style app has ever managed to actually hook me until “Stuff” showed up when I was just browsing around! My favorite feature is how I can scan a handwritten list my wife wrote and it will make it easily laid out for me, and I can set a date and time and I won’t forget to do it! This app has really helped me so much and I’ve only had it for a couple days now! I told my friends about it but they don’t have iPhone. I hope eventually there will be one for them too! Everyone deserves to experience this amazing app! Another cool thing is it’s a fun looking app without looking like a toy! Great job guys!

Love Stuff (no pun intended). I searched multiple times since starting using Stuff as my MAIN to do with the SIMPLICITY to get out of the way, do its job well, while being easy and delightful to use and Stuff has been my favorite. THINGS fixed in my (and I’m sure many others’ opinion..) BUT where/IS THERE a web or desktop version?? Sometimes you just want to see your list like cascaded to the left or right of the screen and just tackle those COMPUTER tasks. Super helpful.Sometimes people are in desktop/computer mode of functioning/work and not mobile at all…

FINALLY!!

FINALLY an app that doesn’t feel like too much. As someone who gets overwhelmed pretty easily, I notice that other platforms emphasize all the noise and urgency of tasks in my life. This is LITERALLY the only app I can open without feeling pulled in a million directions. I can get on, do what I need to do, and get off without feeling mentally drained. Exactly what I need. I have contacted the developer many times about questions and concerns I have regarding a few of this company’s apps, and I have received very prompt and extremely respectful replies. Big fan of Stuff!

Thank you for the awesome review! It’s so great to hear that you’re enjoying Stuff so far, and I hope that it continues to be a handy tool for you long into the future! 🤝
### Smaller Features
- Widgets can now show the In Progress view. Great for keeping the Tasks you’re actively working on close by, and adding from that widget starts the new Task as In Progress in No List by default.
- Markdown imports and exports now understand more Task statuses: cancelled Tasks use `[/]`, In Progress Tasks use `[~]`, and completed Tasks export with lowercase `[x]`.
### Blips
- Fixed a blip where Add Tasks could crash right after opening Stuff when adding a Task from a fresh launch (thanks for the feedback, Andre!)
- Fixed a blip where proposed List or Space chips in Add Tasks could sometimes crash Stuff if they appeared but weren’t accepted.
- Fixed a blip where accepting a proposed Space chip while creating a new List could crash Stuff, especially on Mac.
- Improved Calendar in Today and Upcoming so events show up much faster when you open those views, and Calendar Settings now stays in sync with whether Stuff actually has Calendar access.
- Improved the expanded date picker in Chipcards so scrolling through far-future dates feels much lighter and faster.
- Polished view headers so icons, titles, and hide controls line up more neatly across Today, Lists, Spaces, and filtered views.
- Polished a few Extra Stuff membership messages so they line up more neatly in Listen Mode, Scan Mode, Search, and completed List sections.
