I don't know what the proper procedure is (reopening or filing a new ticket), but I see this problem with Sphinx 0.5dev-20081015 and Python 2.6 on Windows XP. The change recommended by Winfried in msg73874 seems to fix it (patch attached). The version of MiKTeX: MiKTeX-pdfTeX 2.7.3147 (1.40.9) (MiKTeX 2.7) Copyright (C) 1982 D. E. Knuth, (C) 1996-2006 Han The Thanh TeX is a trademark of the American Mathematical Society.
