Can we call a java method in java script or vice versa

Hi all,

I have doubt here. Suppose that we have java method xyz() in a.java file and we have a html file i.e, b.html. Can we call xyz() method in the java script block, which is in b.html file? If so, how can we?

XMLHttpRequest is the means by which Ajax requests are made to the server. The response can be of any text format, not just XML.

Is there any other way to provide communication between java script and java other than XMLHttpRequest object?
