Java and AS400

Hi,
Anybody knows how to get data from AS400 i.e from DB2 database to Win NT 4.0 platform is any software readable format (.txt or XML)

Since the data is in a Database, you can use JDBC to read it into any format that you want. I'm going to move this post to the JDBC forum.
Anyone know where he can get the JDBC drivers for DB2?

The JDBC drivers are part of IBM's AS/400 Toolbox for Java. JTOpen is the open source version of Toolbox for Java, you can get it at:
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/toolbox/
You will need to register first. If all you want is to get the data into a text file you might want to use Client Access and do a "Data Transfer from AS/400".

If you are familiar with the AS/400, the following will help you:
1: As Julio said, you can use Client Access, but you can also use either of the two following commands from the 400 itself: CPYTOPCD or CPYIMPF.
2: If you have access to an AS/400 with a fairly recent version of the Operating System, you will find that the Toolbox for Java is free and may already be accessible through the IFS.
3: The JDBC route is a snap. Moving the files from one machine to the other is not difficult but requires a certain level of familiarity with the 400.

I realize this is an older post, however, there is a good book available for this topic. "Java Application Strategies for the AS400" by Don Denoncourt, published by Mid-Range computing.
