Hello everyone, I am trying to do a small java program throw, which I can send a SMS message by specifying phone number& retrieve message when SMS is sanded to particular number. I downloaded sw-sdk-java-2.4.2 from sun site. Can any one help me how to proceed with this. It will be really helpful if any one can help me Thanks Hima
i am making changes to my question. i am using SMS JDK� 2.0. Which i downloaded from http://www.noctor.com/smsjdk.htm & i want develop an SMS chat application. When i downloaded this JDK i got some examples but i am not sure how to run them. to send SMS message to particular mobile and read SMS messages forwarded to that mobile using java application what all we need like...do we need to connect the mobile to system where application is running. & do we need any SMS gateway. can any one educate me in this mater. To send sms through a computer u have to connect it to GSM mobile . internally it is just like an ordinary cell phone but without keypad.u have 2 programme the keypad urself or through ur SMS software kit . Now if u wanna use it for a larger scale u have to contact ur local cell phone operator who will provide a gateway for u . someone also told me that there is also a way to connect ur existing cell 2 ur computer using some cable but i have never tried it .
