What is JavaScript?

helloo...every body, i 'm a totaly beginner and i know nothing about java script,....
so please let me know why we should use java scipt in web developement and what are the adavntages ??

It is one of the client side scripting language,using it we can validate our controls in the web forms,as well as we can have events and methods in our webform as like in stand -alone applications...

sryy and grr888 are not words. The English language does not use multiple commas.
