Im programming a simple mobile phone GUI that can send and receive messages. My problem is the way that key buttons will act. Until now, inside actionPerforme achieve recognise if user writing in message field or number field. If writing in number field did it and keys write just numbers. Im stuck in else, else should call a method from other class and inside other class should calculate what letter the user wants, using currentTimeMills. Please help, i have stuck

I've absolutely no clue what your talking about. Can you try to exactly explain your problem? Maybe show some code.

Some code:

As you can see, zero on a mobile phone has just 0 and "+", so i don't have problem with this but, one has 1 and some special characters(.,?!). My problem is how to implement a class to find and return what letter or character user wants. Ex. If user writing a message, and press button with value 1, "." will appear, if pressing it continuously i want this character change, until currentClick - lastClick > currentTimeMills

I'm sure that the platform you're developing on was components that supply the desired functionality. Which platform are you developing on?

With "platform" you mean Eclipse? If yes, this is my platform
