Ah, forget about the snake. It was an invention of
those-who-watch-blue-screens, and I guess Guido only jumped on the
bandwagon because those-who-gave-us-bluescreens offered him lots of
money or something.

On Real Machines Python still uses the One And Only True Python Icon,
and will continue to do so by popular demand (although
those-who-used-to-watch-bluescreens-but-saw-the-light occasionally
complain:-).
