Green Screen Fun
#1
Hi.

I work in a school and I want to set up a bit of fun for students. We have a large screen hooked up to a PC. I want to pop a webcam on the TV and have it take photos of the students but with a greenscreen effect.

The idea is to set a Christmas background around holiday time. Just a bit of fun.

Is this possible in python?

I used to do some programming so should be able to do this with just a bit of help.

Any assistance appreciated.

Cheers

In Linux you can use cheese, it "looks" through your camera and has many effects. I used it to make people have green faces, or to warp their picture in weird ways. You can save photos or videos.

I haven't used cheese ever on this laptop. Now it can't find my webcam. Some setting or permissions thing, I suppose!

Yes, but use OBS for it.

If you want to learn, then you should look for opencv.
