requests.post not sending post values

Hello everyone,

As the title says, none of the post values are being sent

Here is the Python script:

    params = {
        'code'          : code,
        'client_id': client_id,
        'client_secret': client_secret,
        'redirect_uri': redirect_uri,
        'grant_type': 'authorization_code',
    }
    headers = {
        'content-type': 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded'
    }
    response = requests.post(testurl+"?test=1", headers=headers, json = params)
    print(response.text)
    print(dir(response))

Here is the php code of the site receiving it

<?php
    $r = var_export($_POST, true);
    print_r(json_encode($r));
?>

all I get back is "Array()"

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Not that I really know about this stuff, but the example below works.

If you are not afraid of problems, post your url for testing.

I don't know what the php looks like on the test site used below, but it gives a decent response.

url = 'https://httpbin.org/post'
payload = {'key1': 'value1', 'key2': 'value2'}
headers = {'Content-Type': 'application/json'}

response = requests.post(url, json=payload, headers=headers)
print(response.json())

This returns:

Hi,

you are setting the wrong content-type for JSON... If you want to send JSON, you need to set the content-type correctly. Or provide the payload in the right way for request.
