THE PHYSICS AND ITS RELATION WITH THE ENGINEERING

The Physics plays an important paper in the Engineering, since great part of the Technology can be considered in last instance as Applied Physics. Transistors, computers, spatial vehicles, satellites of communications and other technological advances, they are the result of a deep knowledge of the physical corresponding laws and of his utilization to the man service.
For the Technology the Physics is an auxiliary way, but in occasions the Technology must to develop basic investigations, in order to solve problems of application, existing a continuous exchange between Science and Technology; and though in many cases, the Technology owes his practical successes to discoveries done by scientists with purely theoretical intentions, also it is true that in some others have arisen scientific discoveries of the investigation on technical concrete problems.
For definition, the Technology avoids the purely theoretical problems and gives itself satisfied when it reaches the practical application. His methods are experimental and the direct measurement of a series of magnitudes for the obtaining formula is often more acceptable for the technician that the information obtained as application of a theoretical expression that the Physics contributes. In this respect, the Technology is a quarry of experimental information for the physicist, who across them can test his theories. In this work we study the relation of the Physics with the studies of Engineering of the Politechnical University of Madrid.
