DSE Board and Management met with the newly appointed BSEC Chairman and Commissioners on June 7, 2026, at the BSEC office. The team congratulated the new appointees and wished them every success in their new responsibilities.

On May 17, 2026, an onboarding session titled “Women on Boards (WOB)” was jointly organized by DSE and IFC, with the support of the Embassy of Denmark in Dhaka, at the Multipurpose Hall of the DSE Tower in Nikunja, Dhaka. The session was attended by leading female representatives from the ICAB, ICMAB, ACCA, and various listed companies.

An agreement was signed between Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC and BRAC EPL Investments Limited for the electronic subscription of the ‘Sajida Orange Zero-Coupon Bond’ through DSE's Electronic Subscription System (ESS) on May 18, 2026, at DSE's Nikunja office. Subscription to the bond on the DSE ESS platform started on May 18, 2026, and will continue until May 23, 2026. This is the first private bond to be opened to eligible investors through the ESS platform. DSE Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar, Deputy CEO of Sajeda Foundation Md. Fazlul Hoque, and BRAC EPL Investments Limited CEO Syed Rashed Hussain, along with other senior officials from the respective organizations, were present at the event.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC and Swisscontact Bangladesh on May 17, 2026 at DSE office, Nikunja to promote sustainable and inclusive economic development through the country's capital market system. DSE Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar, Swisscontact Bangladesh Country Director Helal Hossain and senior officials from both organizations were present at the event.

A workshop titled "Resilient Capital Market: Advancing AML/CFT Compliance and Risk Governance" was held on May 13, 2026, at the DSE Multipurpose Hall in Nikunja, with the participation of CAMLCO representatives from DSE Brokerage Houses. The workshop was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), and Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE).

On May 12, 2026, a listing agreement was signed between Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE) and BRAC Bank PLC for the listing of the "BRAC Bank Second Subordinated Bond" on DSE's Alternative Trading Board (ATB) platform. The signing ceremony, held at the DSE office at Nikunja, Dhaka, was attended by Nuzhat Anwar, Managing Director of DSE, and Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and CEO of BRAC Bank PLC, along with senior officials from both organizations. Senior representatives of Lead Arranger BRAC EPL Investment Ltd. and Trustee UCB Investment Ltd. were also present at the program.

A seven-member delegation led by Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. Chairman Mominul Islam met with Bangladesh Bank Governor Md. Mostaqur Rahman, FCMA on May 07, 2026, to discuss enhancing transparency, good governance, and liquidity in the country’s capital market. The delegation included DSE Directors Syed Hammadul Karim, Snehasish Barua, FCA, Minhaz Mannan Emon, Richard D’ Rozario, Md. Sajedul Islam, and Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar. During the meeting, the DSE delegation presented several significant proposals to the Governor of Bangladesh Bank regarding the development and advancement of the country’s capital market. The delegation brought the concerns of general shareholders, particularly regarding the merger process of five weak Islamic banks, to the Governor of Bangladesh Bank. They also demanded necessary measures to protect the interests of general investors, ensure fair compensation, and maintain full transparency throughout the merger process. The Governor assured them that the issue would receive serious and careful attention.

Mitali Group of Industries, a leading garment manufacturing industrial group in Bangladesh, primarily renowned for producing knit and fleece apparel, has decided to shift its office to DSE Tower, Nikunja. As part of this decision, an office rental agreement was signed between Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE) and Mitali Group of Industries at the DSE office in Nikunja on May 04, 2026. The signing ceremony was attended by DSE Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar, COO Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS, Mitali Group of Industries Managing Director Ehsan Abdullah, COO Anwar Sadat, and senior officials from both organizations.
