Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with the Career Development Centre and the DIU Finance Club of Daffodil International University, organised ‘PrimeAcademia Empowering Youth Season 2.0’ on DIU campus in Savar on Tuesday.

The programme brought together students, academics and banking professionals to promote career readiness, leadership development, financial literacy and stronger collaboration between academia and industry, said a press release.

Senior officials of the bank, including senior executive vice-president and head of liability and women banking Shaila Abedin, senior vice-president and head of financial inclusion and school banking MM Mahbub Hasan, and vice-president and head of talent acquisition and organisational development Monoara Khatoon, attended the event.

Among the university representatives present were pro-vice chancellor Professor Mohammed Masum Iqbal, registrar Mohammed Nadir Bin Ali and treasurer Hamidul Haque Khan.

The programme featured keynote discussions, interactive sessions and a mock interview, offering students practical insights into modern banking, financial inclusion, leadership and employability skills.

Participants also received certificates and gift kits while engaging with industry professionals. Prime Bank said the initiative reflects its commitment to developing future leaders and enhancing youth employability by bridging the gap between academia and the banking industry.
