Bangladesh HP team clinched the one-day series after beating Zimbabwe ‘A’ by three wickets in the third and final match at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Saturday.
After being put into bat first, Zimbabwe scored 298-9 in the allotted overs while Amite Hasan struck 80 off 84 before Jaker Ali guided home as Bangladesh posted 301-6 in 48 overs.
Chasing the target, Bangladesh got off to a strong start as openers Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Amite Hasan set the base with a 122-run partnership. Shahdat scored 54 off 50 and Amite struck nine boundaries in his innings.
Bangladesh lost Samiun Bashir (12) and Zakir Hasan (0) in the middle but Jaker Ali and Moin Khan anchored the innings with another 82-run stand.
Moin returned after making 43 off 36 while Jaker and Abdul Gaffer Saqlain ensured no further loss and remained unbeaten on 61 and 7 runs, respectively.
Faraz Akram took 3-42 for the visitors.
Earlier, Zimbabwe’s Innocent Kaia smashed 103 off 110, but it eventually went in vain, with Mathew Campbell and Ryan Burl contributing 42 and 50 runs, respectively.
Pacer Khaled Ahmed claimed 4-45, accompanied by Saqlain’s 3-67.
Bangladesh earlier won the first game by 85 runs, and the second match was abandoned due to rain. Both sides are scheduled to play the first four-day match at the Sylhet International Stadium on June 17.
