Bangladesh captain Litton Das was doubtful for the opening match of the three-match T20I series against Australia, starting on Wednesday.

Litton sustained an injury while batting in the third and final ODI of the series against the same opponent on Sunday.

Litton was retired hurt after scoring 48 runs before returning to complete his maiden ODI fifty in Mirpur.

However, the 31-year-old didn’t return to the field after that, as Nurul Hasan kept wicket instead of him.

It was learnt that Litton had a muscle tear in his leg. While he was kept under observation, further assessment would have been needed before making a final call for his availability in the first match.

The three-match T20I series will be played in Chattogram, with the final two matches scheduled on June 19 and 21, respectively.
