A workshop titled Kodaly Method and Global Music Communication was held at the initiative of the music department of Rabindra University, Bangladesh at Shahzadpur in Sirajganj on Sunday.
RUB vice-chancellor Professor Tahmina Akhtar was present as chief guest, said a press release.
The training was provided by president of the Korean Kodály Society of South Korea Hong Ki Cho.
RUB pro-VC Professor Suman Kanti Barua, treasurer Professor Firoz Ahmed, chairman of the Bangla department Md Mainul Islam, chairman of the sociology department Jannatul Mawa Moon and chairman of the economics department Nazrul Islam were present as special guests at the ceremony.
The programme was moderated by assistant professor of the music department Yatsingh Shuvo and chaired by chairman of the music department Debashree Dolan.
Music educators, researchers and students from home and abroad participated in the workshop.
