'Rockstar', 'Roid', and 'Malik' see international theatrical rollout

International audiences can now watch three Bangladeshi Eid-ul-Azha films as "Rockstar", "Roid", and "Malik" begin their overseas theatrical runs across key regions, including the US, Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand.
"Rockstar", starring Shakib Khan, had its international run from 5 June to 11 June in 41 cinemas across Canada, the US and the UK.
The film stars Shakib Khan in the lead role, along with Sabila Nur and Tangia Zaman Methila in key roles.
"Rockstar" is directed by Azman Rusho and produced under Sun Motion Pictures.
"Rockstar" is a musical drama about a small-town musician who rises to fame in the commercial music industry but soon becomes trapped in the dark side of success, including fame pressure, greed and personal struggles.
Mejbaur Rahman Sumon's "Roid" premiered from 5 June in Sydney, Australia, the UK, Berlin, Melbourne and the US.
"Roid" is a rural drama set in a remote village that follows Sadhu and his mentally unstable wife, who live in deep isolation. After their marriage, tensions grow as Sadhu repeatedly tries to abandon her because of her unpredictable behavior, yet mysterious forces keep bringing her back.
Through this unsettling cycle, the film explores themes of identity, guilt, control and emotional dependence, centring on the woman's silent suffering.
The third release, "Malik", was screened in Australia on 12 June, with premiere screenings scheduled for 13 June and 14 June at Hoyts Bankstown in Sydney, while additional special screenings in Melbourne and Adelaide will follow.
Lead actor Arifin Shuvoo traveled to Australia for audience interactions during the special screenings. Directed by Saif Chandan, "Malik" also stars Bidya Sinha Mim in a lead role.
