What is Helium-3 and could we get it from the moon?
Helium-3 is an extremely rare and valuable gas that could play a key role in future quantum computers, clean nuclear fusion energy, and space exploration. It is found in very limited quantities on Earth, so scientists are looking at lunar soil as a possible source. However, its low density there makes it very difficult and expensive to collect. As a result, it is still not certain whether the key to the fuel of the future lies on the Moon or on Earth.
