Bashundhara Group brings happiness to poor in Pabna

Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, brought joy and smiles to distressed people in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna district by distributing relief gifts among them on Thursday.

The Kaler Kantho, one of the reputed vernacular dailies of Bashundhara Group, provided relief through its social organization Shuvasangha.

Several 300 ultra-poor families received relief at Govt Bhangura Union High School & College compound.
Every family got 10kg rice, 3kg dal (lentil), and 3kg atta (coarse flour) as a relief gift.

Raja Sardar, a recipient of relief gift, said, “I am a mason by profession. I have lost workability due to a stroke. The whole family members, including wife and son, are suffering from a severe economic crisis. The sufferings have intensified due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Bashundhara Group’s relief has brought a sigh of relief to me.”

Speaking on the occasion, Bhangura Municipality Mayor Golam Hasnain Russel said, “Country’s business conglomerate Bashundhara Group has been distributing relief gifts among destitute across the country. As part of it, they have come up with relief in our Upazila. The Group always stands by the distressed people. It also distributed oxygen to be used for critical corona patients.”

Officer-in-Charge Faisal-bin Ahsan, Zilla Parishad member Gulshanara Lipi, Govt Bhangura Union High School & College Principal Rafikul Islam, and Shuvasangha Director Jakaria Zaman, among others, were present.
