Four more children with measles symptoms have died in Bangladesh over the last 24 hours, while 111 more people have been diagnosed with the highly infectious disease.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)'s regular measles bulletin on Tuesday said 93 people have died of measles nationwide since Mar 15.

Another 568 are suspected to have died with measles symptoms.

So far, the highest number of deaths from suspected cases have been in the Dhaka Division with 239, while another 87 have died in Rajshahi.

Over the 24-hour period, 966 people have come to hospitals with measles symptoms; of whom 872 have been admitted.

The highest number of hospital admissions was in Dhaka, with 315 people. The lowest was in Rangpur, with 25.

Since the start of the outbreak, Bangladesh has confirmed 10,634 cases of measles, but the suspected caseload is much higher at 88,895.
