Context
As discussed in !581, it was decided to bring support for Reqnroll v2.4.1 first, and only afterward to upgrade to Reqnroll v3.
Fixes #562.
@delatrie would you mind checking this PR out? It should be merged before !581, which I will then rebase on main.
