Hey, I'm Kamil

Software architect and engineer based in Hamburg. I design and build distributed frontend and backend systems with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and TypeScript, deployed on AWS. When things need to move fast and stay reliable I reach for Apache Kafka. On the frontend, Svelte and SCSS are my go-to tools.

I work as a freelance architect and consultant and have been a CTO — across startups and corporations serving millions of users daily. I'm a problem solver who delivers pragmatic solutions: I care about good architecture (DDD, hexagonal, event-driven) but prefer shipping working software over perfect diagrams. Lately I've been exploring AI-assisted development — agentic workflows, SPEC-driven development, and making GitHub Copilot actually useful in real projects.

iSAQB certified. Open source contributor. Native in German and Polish, fluent in English.
