Md Al Amin Khan and Md Mehedi Hasan Nuhin have been elected president and general secretary respectively of the Public University Students Association of Chuadanga (PUSAC), a platform of students from the district studying at public universities across the country.

The 40-member executive committee was announced on Saturday.

Al Amin Khan is a student of the Economics Department at Rajshahi University (RU) and a resident of Shaheed Habibur Rahman Hall, while Mehedi Hasan Nuhin is a student of the Sociology Department at Dhaka University (DU) and a resident of Shahid Sergeant Zahurul Huq Hall.

Reacting to his election, Al Amin said PUSAC is more than just an organisation and serves as a family for public university students from Chuadanga.

"We believe PUSAC is not merely an organisation; it is a family. The experience, advice and cooperation of our members will be our greatest strength in moving the organisation forward," he said.

Nuhin thanked the members for placing their confidence in him and expressed optimism that the organisation would continue working for student welfare, mutual cooperation and the overall development of Chuadanga.

He said his previous experience in PUSAC and involvement in various social organisations would help him discharge his responsibilities effectively.
