Dhaka Education Board has issued an urgent directive to strengthen CCTV surveillance at examination centres ahead of the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

Under the instruction, all examination centres have been asked to submit detailed information on their CCTV systems, including camera IDs and passwords, camera brands, and the serial numbers of DVR or NVR devices within the stipulated timeframe.

The board has also directed centres to ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity for their DVR and NVR devices so that examination activities can be monitored in real time.

In a notice signed by Controller of Examinations Professor Jesmin Taslima Banu, institutions were asked to send the required information to the designated email address by June 21. They have been instructed to mention “CCTV EIIN Number” in the email subject line, using their respective Educational Institute Identification Number (EIIN).

The board said the initiative aims to ensure greater transparency and maintain a fair, malpractice-free environment during the examinations.
