Three children have died across the country with symptoms of measles in the last 24 hours.

The latest data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) shows that while no deaths were confirmed as measles through laboratory testing in the past day, the suspected death toll continues to rise.

Since the outbreak began on March 15, 91 people have died from confirmed measles, while the number of deaths involving suspected cases has reached 522.

In the last 24-hour reporting period, health authorities identified 915 suspected infections and 117 laboratory-confirmed cases.

This brings the national total to 77,791 suspected and 9,620 confirmed cases over the nearly three-month period.

Hospitalization rates remain high, with 63,134 suspected patients admitted for treatment since mid-March. Of those, 58,964 have recovered and been discharged.

Geographically, the Dhaka Division remains the most heavily impacted region, accounting for nearly half of the national burden with 36,415 suspected infections and 6,680 confirmed cases.

Medical experts and health officials are closely tracking the situation, emphasizing the importance of vaccination and early intervention as the number of infections across various districts continues to fluctuate.
