Law and Justice division gets Tk 2,187 crore allocation in FY26-27 budget

The government has proposed an allocation of Tk 2,187 crore for the Law and Justice Division in the 2026-27 fiscal year, covering both operational and development expenditures.

Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury placed the proposal on Thursday while presenting the national budget in Parliament.

Of the total proposed allocation, Tk 1,998 crore has been earmarked for operational expenses and Tk 188 crore for development projects.

In the revised budget for FY25-26, the division received Tk 2,159 crore, indicating a slight increase in the new fiscal proposal.
