The Soil of Conscience

Published : Saturday, 6 June, 2026 at 12:00 AM  Count : 394
Deep within the slumbering town, who sounds the waking shell?
Rights are weeping silently, where mire and shadows dwell.

A nation isn't merely earth, nor borders on a chart,
It is the shared and common path, of millions, one in heart.

You lock the doors of conscience tight, what freedom do you crave?
You feast upon a false delight, to darkness but a slave!

Shatter now the rusted chains, let all illusions cease,
Through the union of our toil, let this land find peace.

Who told you that you are too small? Who says you stand alone?
Within your breast the striking light of a newborn dawn is sown.

Walk hand in hand with multitudes, to wash away the stain,
For from your sweat, this Bengal's voice shall rise and sing again.
