Gopalganj DC discusses science issues with students

GOPALGANJ, June 16: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Arif-uz-Zaman participated in an exceptional dialogue titled 'Eternal Journey of the Universe' organised by the district administration at the Gopalganj Municipality Auditorium on Tuesday morning.

DC Md Arif-uz-Zaman chaired the programme. Additional DC (Education and ICT) Shobhan Sarkar, Additional District Magistrate Rezwana Kabir, Assistant Commissioner (Education) Rihab Inam and Head Teacher of Jugshikha Girls' High School Hari Shankar Biswas were present at the time. More than 300 students from classes 8 to 10 of Jugshikha Girls’ High School in the Gopalganj town participated in the dialogue. 

In the event, the DC discussed various aspects of science, space, the origin of the universe and modern technology. He also answered various questions of the students and highlighted the importance of building a science-minded nation and acquiring knowledge. The DC told the students that they should develop themselves as skilled and competent citizens by acquiring science-based knowledge. He urged them to contribute to the development of the country and nation by studying diligently and achieving personal success.
