After nearly two hours of blockade demanding payment of outstanding wages and other benefits, workers of Nassa Group cleared the main road near Love Road in Dhaka's Tejgaon industrial area  on Tuesday , allowing traffic to resume.

Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman told  The Daily Observer  that the protesters were persuaded to leave the road at around 1230pm.  He said traffic subsequently resumed and the situation is now normal.

Workers of readymade garment factories owned by Nassa Group blocked the major road at around 1015 am, causing severe traffic disruption in Tejgaon and surrounding areas.

According to Tejgaon police, the workers took to the streets to press home their demand for unpaid dues.
