PlacementsThe Placements for MBA in NIT Rourkela are exceptionally weak. The Placements do come, but mainly for marketing roles. Other specializations, like Finance, Operations, and HR, are often ignored. The Average Placement packages with which the company comes are not much, it varies from 6-8 LPA. But students are placed at lower packages as well. Dedicated Companies for Hiring Management Students are very low. The Data is a bit debatable as these Companies do register themselves for Placements Drives, but they don't come. The Priorities of the CDC (Career Development Center) are questionable for the MBA Department. The majority of the companies come to hire B.TECH Students. Half of the students are not placed in the 2024-2026 batch. Highest Package which we get know is 10 lakhs this year. The Placement Process is heavily rigorous and quite tough to crack for the OTs.
