Bangladesh High Commissioner Pays Courtesy Call on Malaysian Prime Minister
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia, Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury, paid a courtesy call and exchanged greetings with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The meeting took place on Monday (February 23) during an Iftar gathering held at Putrajaya's Perdana Putra.
The Iftar gathering was hosted at the invitation of Malaysian Foreign Minister Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan. This information was confirmed through a statement released on Wednesday (February 25) on the verified Facebook page of the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for congratulating the leader of the winning party in Bangladesh's recently concluded national elections and for calling the newly elected Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim warmly welcomed the Bangladesh representative and expressed a positive outlook regarding bilateral relations.
The Iftar gathering at Perdana Putra was attended by high-ranking officials of the Malaysian government, as well as ambassadors, high commissioners from various countries around the world, and representatives of different international organizations.
On the occasion, the High Commissioner also exchanged pleasantries with diplomats from various countries, which is expected to play a role in further strengthening Bangladesh's diplomatic relations in Malaysia.
