Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS has been working with Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE) since 2010 in different capacities. Before joining DSE, he worked in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. After assuming his role in DSE, he served as the head of the Company Affairs Division and International Affairs Department. He also successfully supervised the Market Development Division from June 2019 to January 2020, leading the Product and Market Development Department, SME and OTC Department, Research and Information Department, and Market Operations (MOPS) Department.

Mr. Rahman was the Member Secretary of the DSE Demutualization Implementation Committee and an active member of the core team of DSE Nasdaq and FlexTrade's new system projects. He played a significant role on achieving WFE full membership and on boarding the strategic investors (Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchange) at DSE. He is a member of the DSE Management Committee- the highest body of decision making after Board and Board Committees.
Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS as a representative of the DSE participated in meetings and seminars with various stock exchanges and institutions around the world, including the Philippine Stock Exchange, Singapore Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Securities and Exchange Board of India, National Stock Exchange of India, Bombay Stock Exchange, Maldives Stock Exchange, and German Stock Exchange. He is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
Before embarking on the role of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director (Acting) on June 30, 2025 he served as the General Manager and Company Secretary of DSE from April 27, 2017 to June 29, 2025.

Nuzhat Anwar

Nuzhat Anwar has joined as the Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange on December 28, 2025. Earlier, on December 18, 2025, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission approved her appointment as the new Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. Nuzhat Anwar brings over two decades of experience in financial markets, banking, and development finance.
Prior to her appointment, she worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where she held multiple senior leadership roles across Africa and South Asia. Her positions included Resident Representative for Liberia and Sierra Leone, Senior Country Officer for Bangladesh covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, and acting Cluster Manager during the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent transition period.
Nuzhat Anwar also served as an IFC Country Officer in Botswana and Namibia, where she played a key role in establishing IFC's presence in Gaborone and advancing a sustainable investment program, including IFC's first investment in Botswana. She offers deep expertise in capital management, treasury and liquidity, transaction services, portfolio optimization, and market advocacy. Earlier in her career, she spent 16 years with Citibank Bangladesh and Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh in various senior management roles.

Dr. Md. Asifur Rahman is a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record of success across a diverse range of local and international institutions in both corporate and academic sectors. His inclusion in DSE's leadership team marks a strategic step toward strengthening the Exchange's technology infrastructure and aligning it with global best practices in capital markets.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Rahman has held key roles in several prestigious organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Bank, ASA International Group PLC (a London Stock Exchange-listed company), Smart Technologies LLC in Fukuoka, Japan, and Kyushu University, Japan. He has also built collaborative partnerships with a wide range of corporate entities and academic institutions, both in Bangladesh and abroad.
Dr. Rahman earned his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from BUET in 1994 as a member of the department's first graduating class. He went on to complete his Doctor of Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2016. Among his notable contributions is the development of the Sectoral Model-based multi-purpose IC Card system, VRICS, designed to enable secure and efficient micro-payment solutions.
With more than two decades of experience in enterprise IT strategy, systems architecture, and applied research, Dr. Rahman brings deep expertise in blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning for financial applications, and high-performance computing systems. His multidisciplinary background and international exposure are expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating digital transformation and technological innovation at DSE.

Md. Samiul Islam

Md. Samiul Islam is an experienced capital market professional with over 29 years of diverse experience at Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE), including more than 15 years in senior leadership roles. He has extensive experience in strategic business transformation, business strategy, revenue generation, product and market development, securities laws, project management, resource planning, risk management, governance, compliance, and stakeholder relationships. He served as General Manager and Divisional Head of several divisions at the Dhaka Stock Exchange, including Administration, Operations, Market Development, and HR & Admin. Prior to that, he was Head of the Board Membership Affairs & Administration Department. Over the course of his career at DSE, he also worked in various departments, including Company Affairs, Internal Audit, Surveillance, and Clearing & Settlement. He also played a vital role in facilitating DSE's strategic partnership, data center modernization, and boosting revenue through new streams such as data sales and tower rentals.
Mr. Islam holds B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degrees in Statistics from the University of Chittagong and has received specialized training from institutions including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Japan International Cooperation Agency (Japan), BSE Training Institute (India), National Institute of Securities Markets (India) and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission. His visionary leadership and deep institutional knowledge continue to contribute to the growth and modernization of Bangladesh's capital market.

Md. Tariqul Islam

Md. Tariqul Islam brings over 20 years of extensive IT experience, with a significant tenure at Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited (DSE), where he has served as General Manager of the ICT Division since August 2021.
Progressing through roles such as Senior Executive (2007-08), Manager (2008-10), Assistant General Manager (2010-15), and Deputy General Manager (2015-21). As a General Manager, his responsibilities encompass overseeing daily ICT operations, developing and implementing ICT growth strategies, projects, and programs, creating and managing IT services, planning for infrastructure implementation, etc. He also has proven experience in providing and implementing ICT budgets.
Before DSE, he served as System Maintenance In-charge (2002-07) for a BUET-IICT project adopted by BMET, designing and implementing an application for manpower export automation. Earlier in his career, he worked at Spectrum Engineering Consortium Limited in various capacities from February 1999 to October 2002, including Network Design, Deployment, Operation, and Support Manager.
Md. Islam holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET (1997), with HSC from Notre Dame College (1990) and SSC from Pabna Zilla School (1988).

Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, FCS

Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan is currently serving as the General Manager, Regulatory Affairs Division and Chief Regulatory Officer (Acting) of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE), Mr. Bhuiyan began his journey with DSE in 2006 as an Executive in the Listing and Market Operations Department. With extensive expertise in the capital market, his specialization includes securities laws, regulatory compliance for prospective issuers and listed companies, public offerings, corporate advisory services, and compliance oversight of Stock-Brokers/TREC Holder Companies.
Mr. Bhuiyan has significantly contributed to the diversification of capital market products, including REITs, ETFs, G-SEC, Financial Derivatives, and Sukuk. As a proficient legal drafter, he has played a key role in formulating various securities regulations. He has also been deeply involved in major transformation initiatives of DSE such as demutualization, automation projects, Book Building System, Electronic Subscription System, Smart Submission System, and online regulatory reporting systems for market intermediaries. Over the years, he has served as a member and chairman of several strategic committees of DSE.
Before joining DSE, Mr. Bhuiyan worked at Dom-Inno Developments Limited, a reputed real estate company. He holds both BBA and MBA degrees with a major in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka.
Mr. Bhuiyan has participated in numerous international training programs, seminars, and workshops, and visited prestigious institutions such as London Stock Exchange Group, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Osaka Securities Exchange, Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, SEBI, BSE, NSE India, and Maldives Stock Exchange, acquiring valuable insights into global securities market operations.
As a seasoned capital market professional, he frequently lectures at institutions such as DSE, BICM, BASM, BIBM, ICSB, ICMAB, ICB, IBTRA, and FinExcel, and has presented keynote papers in various national and international forums.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and a Council Member of ICSB for the 2022-2025 term. He has recently been elected as the Senior Vice President of ICSB in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the profession.
He is also a life member of several notable organizations, including the Dhaka University Alumni Association, SM Hall Alumni Association, and the JICA Alumni Association of Bangladesh.
