Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS has been working with Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE) since 2010 in different capacities. Before joining DSE, he worked in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. After assuming his role in DSE, he served as the head of the Company Affairs Division and International Affairs Department. He also successfully supervised the Market Development Division from June 2019 to January 2020, leading the Product and Market Development Department, SME and OTC Department, Research and Information Department, and Market Operations (MOPS) Department.

Mr. Rahman was the Member Secretary of the DSE Demutualization Implementation Committee and an active member of the core team of DSE Nasdaq and FlexTrade's new system projects. He played a significant role on achieving WFE full membership and on boarding the strategic investors (Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchange) at DSE. He is a member of the DSE Management Committee- the highest body of decision making after Board and Board Committees.
Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS as a representative of the DSE participated in meetings and seminars with various stock exchanges and institutions around the world, including the Philippine Stock Exchange, Singapore Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Securities and Exchange Board of India, National Stock Exchange of India, Bombay Stock Exchange, Maldives Stock Exchange, and German Stock Exchange. He is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
Before embarking on the role of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director (Acting) on June 30, 2025 he served as the General Manager and Company Secretary of DSE from April 27, 2017 to June 29, 2025.

Nuzhat Anwar

Nuzhat Anwar has joined as the Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange on December 28, 2025. Earlier, on December 18, 2025, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission approved her appointment as the new Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. Nuzhat Anwar brings over two decades of experience in financial markets, banking, and development finance.
Prior to her appointment, she worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where she held multiple senior leadership roles across Africa and South Asia. Her positions included Resident Representative for Liberia and Sierra Leone, Senior Country Officer for Bangladesh covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, and acting Cluster Manager during the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent transition period.
Nuzhat Anwar also served as an IFC Country Officer in Botswana and Namibia, where she played a key role in establishing IFC's presence in Gaborone and advancing a sustainable investment program, including IFC's first investment in Botswana. She offers deep expertise in capital management, treasury and liquidity, transaction services, portfolio optimization, and market advocacy. Earlier in her career, she spent 16 years with Citibank Bangladesh and Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh in various senior management roles.

Dr. Md. Asifur Rahman is a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record of success across a diverse range of local and international institutions in both corporate and academic sectors. His inclusion in DSE's leadership team marks a strategic step toward strengthening the Exchange's technology infrastructure and aligning it with global best practices in capital markets.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Rahman has held key roles in several prestigious organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Bank, ASA International Group PLC (a London Stock Exchange-listed company), Smart Technologies LLC in Fukuoka, Japan, and Kyushu University, Japan. He has also built collaborative partnerships with a wide range of corporate entities and academic institutions, both in Bangladesh and abroad.
Dr. Rahman earned his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from BUET in 1994 as a member of the department's first graduating class. He went on to complete his Doctor of Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2016. Among his notable contributions is the development of the Sectoral Model-based multi-purpose IC Card system, VRICS, designed to enable secure and efficient micro-payment solutions.
With more than two decades of experience in enterprise IT strategy, systems architecture, and applied research, Dr. Rahman brings deep expertise in blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning for financial applications, and high-performance computing systems. His multidisciplinary background and international exposure are expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating digital transformation and technological innovation at DSE.

Md. Samiul Islam

Md. Samiul Islam is an experienced capital market professional with over 29 years of diverse experience at Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE), including more than 15 years in senior leadership roles. He has extensive experience in strategic business transformation, business strategy, revenue generation, product and market development, securities laws, project management, resource planning, risk management, governance, compliance, and stakeholder relationships. He served as General Manager and Divisional Head of several divisions at the Dhaka Stock Exchange, including Administration, Operations, Market Development, and HR & Admin. Prior to that, he was Head of the Board Membership Affairs & Administration Department. Over the course of his career at DSE, he also worked in various departments, including Company Affairs, Internal Audit, Surveillance, and Clearing & Settlement. He also played a vital role in facilitating DSE's strategic partnership, data center modernization, and boosting revenue through new streams such as data sales and tower rentals.
Mr. Islam holds B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degrees in Statistics from the University of Chittagong and has received specialized training from institutions including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Japan International Cooperation Agency (Japan), BSE Training Institute (India), National Institute of Securities Markets (India) and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission. Md. Tariqul Islam brings over 20 years of extensive IT experience, with a significant tenure at Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited (DSE), where he has served as General Manager of the ICT Division since August 2021.
Progressing through roles such as Senior Executive (2007-08), Manager (2008-10), Assistant General Manager (2010-15), and Deputy General Manager (2015-21). As a General Manager, his responsibilities encompass overseeing daily ICT operations, developing and implementing ICT growth strategies, projects, and programs, creating and managing IT services, planning for infrastructure implementation, etc. He also has proven experience in providing and implementing ICT budgets.
Before DSE, he served as System Maintenance In-charge (2002-07) for a BUET-IICT project adopted by BMET, designing and implementing an application for manpower export automation. Earlier in his career, he worked at Spectrum Engineering Consortium Limited in various capacities from February 1999 to October 2002, including Network Design, Deployment, Operation, and Support Manager.
Md. Islam holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET (1997), with HSC from Notre Dame College (1990) and SSC from Pabna Zilla School (1988).

Md. Shaheen Sarwar Hossain

Md. Shaheen Sarwar Hossain is the Deputy General Manager (ICT Division) of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). He joined DSE on 1st April 2001 as a Senior Executive (ICT). He began his professional career in 1998 and gained valuable experience in the ICT sector through his work with organizations such as PROSHIKA (NGO), Opsonin Chemical Industries, and the Islami Bank Technical Institute (IBTI) prior to joining DSE.
He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Applied Physics & Electronics and later completed an Executive MBA (EMBA) with a major in Management Information Systems (MIS). He is an ITIL (Foundation)–certified professional in ICT management and an Associate Member of the Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS).
With over 27 years of professional experience, Mr. Hossain has been extensively involved in ICT operations, system development, and stock exchange business–related initiatives. He has continuously enhanced his professional expertise by participating in numerous training programs, seminars, and conferences on ICT and capital market–related topics, both domestically and internationally. These include programs conducted by CSE, IICT (BUET), CDBL, Democracy Watch, and SGS in Bangladesh, as well as international training and conferences held in India (Chennai, Delhi, and Bangalore), Pakistan (Lahore), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Nepal (Kathmandu), and Singapore.
Throughout his tenure at DSE, he has led multiple teams and strategic projects in key roles such as Convener, Project Manager, and Head of ICT. He also served as the first ICT Coordinator and Acting Secretary, and later as a Member of the Operations Management Committee (OMC) of the Capital Market Stabilization Fund (CMSF) formed by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

Abu Nur Muhammad Hasanul Karim

Abu Nur Muhammad Hasanul Karim is a seasoned professional and a driving force in Bangladesh's capital market, currently serving as the General Manager, ICT Division at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
With over 20 years of experience in the ICT field, Mr. Hasan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in Project Management, Operation Management, System & Market Administration, and Capital Market Technology. His career is marked by a consistent track record of success in project management, business process and technology solution development, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Mr. Hasan has played a pivotal role in managing trading, order management, and surveillance systems at the DSE. He is highly skilled in IT support, system integration testing, and infrastructure maintenance. His ability to streamline operations, enhance system security and performance, and provide effective stakeholder training has been instrumental in the advancement of the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Hasan has actively engaged with the global financial community, traveling to the USA, Australia, Europe, and numerous countries in South Asia, the Middle East, and the Far East. This extensive international exposure was for the purpose of capital market technology training, workshops, and to share and acquire knowledge from partner stock exchanges, further enhancing his expertise and contributing to the modernization of Bangladesh's capital market.
Mr. Hasan's educational background includes a Master's in Applied Finance and Capital Market from the University of Dhaka and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Rajshahi. He has also augmented his skills through various training programs and certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Policy Analysis, IT Service Management, NASDAQ X-Stream INET Management and Operation.
Mr. Hasan is known for his robust operation management and problem-solving skills, delivering innovation and strong leadership in challenging environments. His key areas of expertise include Capital Market Technology, Project Management, Business Process Development, Technology Solution Development, and IT Support Management.
In Mr. Abu Nur Muhammad Hasanul Karim, the Dhaka Stock Exchange has a dedicated leader whose focus on modernization, operational excellence, and global engagement continues to shape a more dynamic and efficient capital market in Bangladesh.

Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan is currently serving as the General Manager, Regulatory Affairs Division and Chief Regulatory Officer (Acting) of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE), Mr. Bhuiyan began his journey with DSE in 2006 as an Executive in the Listing and Market Operations Department. With extensive expertise in the capital market, his specialization includes securities laws, regulatory compliance for prospective issuers and listed companies, public offerings, corporate advisory services, and compliance oversight of Stock-Brokers/TREC Holder Companies.
Mr. Bhuiyan has significantly contributed to the diversification of capital market products, including REITs, ETFs, G-SEC, Financial Derivatives, and Sukuk. As a proficient legal drafter, he has played a key role in formulating various securities regulations. He has also been deeply involved in major transformation initiatives of DSE such as demutualization, automation projects, Book Building System, Electronic Subscription System, Smart Submission System, and online regulatory reporting systems for market intermediaries. Over the years, he has served as a member and chairman of several strategic committees of DSE.
Before joining DSE, Mr. Bhuiyan worked at Dom-Inno Developments Limited, a reputed real estate company. He holds both BBA and MBA degrees with a major in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka.
Mr. Bhuiyan has participated in numerous international training programs, seminars, and workshops, and visited prestigious institutions such as London Stock Exchange Group, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Osaka Securities Exchange, Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, SEBI, BSE, NSE India, and Maldives Stock Exchange, acquiring valuable insights into global securities market operations.
As a seasoned capital market professional, he frequently lectures at institutions such as DSE, BICM, BASM, BIBM, ICSB, ICMAB, ICB, IBTRA, and FinExcel, and has presented keynote papers in various national and international forums.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and a Council Member of ICSB for the 2022-2025 term. He has recently been elected as the Senior Vice President of ICSB in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the profession.

Md. Abdul Latif

Md. Abdul Latif is a seasoned financial market professional with over 20 years of distinguished leadership experience in capital market regulation, financial governance, risk management, and exchange operations at the Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE). Recognized for his strategic vision and commitment to market integrity, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening Bangladesh's capital market infrastructure and regulatory framework.
Throughout his career, Mr. Latif has demonstrated deep expertise in market surveillance, IPO and listing management, regulatory compliance, and financial policy development. His professional journey reflects a consistent record of driving institutional reforms, enhancing transparency, and aligning market practices with international standards.
During his tenure as Acting Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO) of DSE (2019-2022), he contributed significantly to advancing the regulatory ecosystem through proactive oversight, enforcement, and collaboration with key stakeholders. He worked closely with prominent institutions including the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL), Bangladesh Bank, and the National Board of Revenue (NBR). These coordinated efforts facilitated the alignment of regulatory frameworks with evolving market dynamics and global best practices.
In this role, Mr. Latif led regulatory inspections across 24 brokerage houses, identifying financial irregularities amounting to BDT 57.49 crore. He introduced spot inspection mechanisms for TREC holder companies, strengthened corporate governance compliance among listed entities, and implemented enforcement measures including penalties, compliance directives, and trading suspensions. He also established dispute resolution and mediation frameworks, reinforcing investor protection and market discipline.
Previously, as Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Supervisor of Finance & Accounts Division, he oversaw financial governance, clearing and settlement operations, and treasury risk management. His key achievements include the development of a comprehensive Risk Management Policy (2025), implementation of an integrated ERP financial system, modernization of financial reporting processes, and enhancement of internal audit and governance frameworks.
Mr. Latif also served as Head of Surveillance Department, where he led the implementation of real-time market monitoring systems and strengthened insider trading detection mechanisms. His leadership in surveillance significantly improved the Exchange's ability to detect abnormal trading patterns and enforce compliance effectively. Earlier roles as Head of Market Operations and Head of Listing Affairs further enriched his expertise in operational efficiency, corporate disclosures, and IPO regulatory processes.
Currently serving as Deputy General Manager in the General Administration Department, he provides strategic oversight for administrative governance and institutional policy frameworks supporting exchange operations. His contributions include developing standardized contractual frameworks and strengthening administrative systems aligned with regulatory requirements.
In addition to his operational roles, Mr. Latif has actively contributed to capital market development initiatives. He has been involved in reviewing automated trading regulations, participated in strategic collaborations with international exchanges such as Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchanges, and played a role in introducing innovative trading mechanisms like the NegDeal facility. He also contributes as a guest lecturer and resource person in investor awareness programs.
Academically, he holds both MBA and BBA degrees in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. His international training includes programs in Sweden, China, and India, focusing on market surveillance, investor evaluation, and risk management. Saied Mahmud Zubayer

Saied Mahmud Zubayer, General Manager, Market Development Division, Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC. (DSE). He has been serving for the organization since 4th January, 2006. He joined the organization as an Executive of Monitoring, Investigation and Compliance Department. He has extensive experience in the area of capital market and specialized knowledge on securities related laws and compliance related issues.
Throughout his career, he was head of Monitoring & Compliance Department, Investigation & Enforcement Department, Research & Information Department and Market Operations Department of DSE. Mr. Zubayer was the In Charge of the Office of the Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO) of DSE.
He is actively involved with most of the major development programs of DSE like Exchange Demutualization program, Clearing & Settlement system, DSE Automation System, implementation of AML/CFT Issues and prepared AML/CFT Manual for TREC holder companies of DSE, formulating monitoring system of TREC holders, introduction of Compliance Training Program, Information Disclosure System, digitalization of reporting system, etc. He is also Head of the Digital Bangladesh Project of DSE.
He worked for publication of a compliance manual titled "Compliance Manual for Authorized Representatives of Brokerage Houses”. He also worked as member secretary for implementing “Uniform Back Office Software” of the Brokers and Dealers of Exchanges.
He completed Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration with major in Finance from the University of Chittagong and obtained 1st class 7th and CGPA 3.73 (out of 4.00 scale) respectively. He completed Bachelor of Law under National University of Bangladesh with good academic result. He also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Capital Market from Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM). He completed Chartered Global Investment Analyst from CGIA Institute, USA and awarded Charter & Membership of CGIA Institute. He is also an Associate Member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, UK. He delivers lectures on securities laws and capital market related topics in various institutions like DSE Training Academy, Bangladesh Institute of Capital market (BICM), Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) and different Stakeholders of Capital Market.
