The government is firmly committed to developing local industries, creating employment, and building a technology-driven economy, stated Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister for Posts, Telecommunications & IT, and Science & Technology. He made these remarks during an exchange meeting with officials and employees after inspecting Bangladesh Cable Shilpa Limited in Khulna today. Nazrul Islam Monju, Administrator of Khulna City Corporation (KCC), was also present.

The Minister emphasized that local industrial institutions play a crucial role in strengthening Bangladesh's telecommunication infrastructure. To drive Bangladesh Cable Shilpa Limited forward, he stressed the need for replacing old technologies with modern ones, implementing effective planning, executing strong marketing policies, and establishing a proactive marketing network. Urging everyone to take ownership of the institution, he assured them of full government support for its development.

During the visit, the Minister observed various stages of the production process and highlighted the importance of boosting productivity and ensuring quality control. While praising the dedication of the workforce, he called for collective efforts for the company's growth. Following the inspection, the Minister planted a native mango sapling and released fish fry into the institution's pond in the presence of senior officials.
